Hi claws and welcome to the forum.
So sorry to hear that you are feeling so down. Is there any reason why you are struggling so much now?

That's the way it is I'm afraid - have you thought about doing something like the Sun Holidays? Some of our posters have done them and had a great time.
I presume you have done an annual review? Did your payments alter at all? Did you put up some of your expenditure such as fuel and food?

Hi claws,
I to am about 1 year and 3 months in and it is hard at times. I can remember initially concidering an IVA, then applying and worrying about being accepted, then 12 months on and worrying about the review. I do feel however that this time has passed so quickly. It feels good not to get the credit card bills. Like me you have some time to go but this will pass and before you know it you will be planning your holiday, and because you have had to wait it will be even more special. Keep your chin up this summer will be a hot one (so the weatherman says).[;)]

We all have really down days within the IVA. Its not an easy path to take. But day by day we are getting one step closer to that debt freedom. Keep smiling

When you start to feel its getting a bit of a slog-think about how many years you would have had left if you hadnt taken the decision to go for the iva.
Ours would be 20+ years of juggling debt, watching wages being swallowed up in the overdraft, with no end in sight.
Now,things are tight and we dont have the luxury of the plastic - but we do have a date when it will all end.
I want a campervan and hubby wants a small fishing boat(he retires in 10 years-so they wont be on credit)-think of something you really want when it all ends and look forward to that dream!!!!!

Claws - you will be amazed how quickly the months go by! It does seem as though it drags sometimes and then you see the months to the end getting less.
I will shortly have done 38 months - can't believe it sometimes.

Funnily enough, I don't tend to look at the bottom of my ticker - I look at the one under my avatar - I enjoy seeing that change on the 1st of the month and then I go and change the one in my signature.

I can't see your ticker Jan - for some reason I only get a little red cross!
Claws, it will be worth it in the end. The suggestion of Sun holidays is a good one and a few people on here have had a good time doing that.

I bought a tent, took some gear with me and we take ourselves away for a couple of nights somewhere, i'm dreaming of that 2 weeks sunshine break too. One day sooner than you think we'll all be those folk in the brochures sitting at the pool bar. Stick in there claws, whenever you feel down surround yourself with us lot, we're all the same.

I hate camping, especially in this country! I prefer to stay at home. I'm lucky in that I have managed to go abroad whilst in my IVA as my daughter paid for us out of an insurance policy she had mature. Hoping my parents are going to cough up this year so we can go somewhere nice and warm!
