Dunno if any one else does this but i usually get £10 worth of post office stamps every mth,& use them towards my car tax.they are £5 each,i usually get 2 & is much better than having to find the full amount.I usually have only about £3 to pay when it is due!The stamps can be used to put towards any house old bills,that you pay at post office.

Also Asda do a nice calafornia rose for £2.89 a bottle,? if any one has tried it.I know tesco do one like it.
Or Thresher wine store do 2 bottles of any wine & you get the third free!

I always say i am going to get those stamps and then never get round to it...i have no excuse i really should/WILL do it this time cos its a much better idea than trying to find the money in 1 go. Thanks for the reminder xx

I didnt even know about car tax stamps, what a great idea. My tax is due at the end of the month but I will definately start collecting them from next month. Thanks for the tip

Not 100% sure, but I thought they had stopped car tax stamps, I too thought it was a great idea but when I went to get some they no longer did them

Just checked the post office website, savings stamps for car tax, great tip, I did thing it was a daft idea when the post office stopped car tax stamps as it was a good way of saving for a large car tax bill.

The Post Office just changed them from Car Tax Stamps to "PO Savings Stamps".
It was just so you could use them for any service through the PO rather than being restricted to using them for just Car Tax.
Definately a good idea though, and trust me they soon add up!!
