Hi all

Lol.........they know that I will be very careful.
I would rather help them out with buying/renting a house etc than spend loads on a one day bash

I'm not showing that to Dave - I don't want him thinking we can do it too cheap!

Wasn't there a story recently of someone having got married for just under a £1000, they too got their dress of Ebay, the grooms outfit off the internet, had a marquee and a double garage turned into a function room, nice one and more friendly i think too. Maybe we should start a thread about how to save money for that big day whilst in an IVA.

I am - and it really will be very low budget - So far our costs are:

Notice of marriage - £60
Marriage Certificate - £3.50
Invites - eBay - £20
Wedding dress - eBay - £70
Two Flower girl dresses - eBay - £60
Reception - £300
Wedding Cake - £80
Hairdressing - Freebie from a friend
Rings - FREE - using Tesco rewards vouchers in Goldsmiths jewellers
Photograher - friends and family using our digital SLR
flowers
Registry office service - £94

We have other things to still cost out, but as you see this is all done very cheaply so far!

Nice one angel and i'm sure there will be many other good things coming your way as they say just ask and it will be provided in some form or other.

Good luck on your pending marriage, take care and be safe.

Makes it more fun and meaningful to be thrifty. Lots of thought goes into it. All the best to both of you x
