HI all, just wanted to share something with you.
I am a stepmom to 2 girls, and they ahve their own clothes at our house. Now the girls seem to grow taller but their waist stays the same (how jealous am I?). Well, last year their jeans were getting too short to wear, so instead of throwing the jeans away, I took up the bottoms and created 3/4 length trousers for them. I managed to do this with about 3 paris each, so they had a summer wardrobe for free! [:D][:D]

That's a great tip.
Mind you, my needlework skills just about run to sewing buttons on and stitching up hems which have come down!

I bought a pair of combats from Ebay a few years ago and didn't realise they were short length and I'm 5'8" so they looked stupid! My mum cut the bottoms off them and made them into cropped combats for me, and I've still got them!

Fantastic money saving tip!! Thanks.
A trick I've just learned is - Gary's son will wear something for minutes / hours and then it'sinto the wash??!! I don't mind when it'ssomething he'sworn for a reasonable length of time, but I do get annoyed when it's clearly still clean. [:(]
My neighbour told me a little secret - spray obviously clean clothes with fabric spray, iron and put away (no washing!! [:)])
It works and is saving a load of time, electrocity and water!!!!
Tee hee, he hasn't caught on about it!! [:)]
Naughty Chardonnay [:D]

Don't blame you. Unfortunately I have the opposite problem - trying to prise daughter from out of her favourite clothes before they voluntarily throw themselves into the washing machine!
A colleague of mine has the same problem with his son changing his clothes all the time. I shall have to tell him your tip!

Do Kallis,
It works!! [:)]
We think he changes so often because he's large and worries about sweating - he is fastidious about showering, etc.....
What they don't know won't hurt them and it's good to be one step ahead!! [:)]
