This company is nightmare. they have written to me over the 8 months over a dozen times wanting payment. I have sent them the IVA court order but they just ignore it. I phoned them and they are very rude.
How can these companies get away with this, we should be protected!!!
Has anybody else heard of this Moorcroft???
There base is Stockport[}:)]

Refer this to your IP - they are wasting their own time and yours, and they cannot do anything against you if you already have the protection of an IVA.
I deal with them regularly, and they are often very slow in updating their systems once an IVA has been accepted, but 8 months is a little extreme.

Just send a formal written complaint by registered post. State in the letter that you are in a legally binding arrangement (IVA) and this continual contact is tantamount to Harassment (administration of Justice Act 1970 section 40) and also contravenes the OFT664 guidelines.
escalate to the FOS if no joy.
Whats is you IP doing about this ?

Thanks for that. I have sort of dealt with them myself and this time I have sent a copy of their letter to my IP. Watch this space. Thanks J-doubleya I will try that one if they contact me again.

Financial Ombudsman Service. They look at complaints for, amongst others , DCA's.

I only had my iva approved in Jan and i am still having problems with Moorcroft. They are a nightmare. My ip has spoke to them 4 times and still they ring. "Are you going to pay your balance in full before we take action",is what i get.I tell them that im in an iva and im on the insolvency register and it makes no difference .Let them take me to court ,they will be the ones with egg on their face.

Moorcroft are collecting on behalf of Barclays Bank in my case.Barclays voted a yes at my creditors meeting. So apart from telling moorcroft when they ring or write that im in an iva, sending them proof ,and informing my ip what would u suggest i do then ?

issue a formal complaint to both Moorcroft and Barclays. They have up to 8 weeks to resolve your complaint or you can ask the FOS to get involved. See previous responses in this post.

Hi
I thought a complaint to the Financial Ombusman cost the creditor £400 regardless of the outcome ? just so long as the debtor followed the correct complaints procedure

I am bankrupt and Moorcroft still persist, its been 6 months now. I sent them a copy of the bankruptcy order, but apparently that is not good enough, they say it has to come from the OR himself! I did notify the OR of this at the beginning of the bankruptcy but Moorcroft, for some stupid reason, seem to want to carry on pursuing me! Any letters I get go in the shredder now [;)]
