as some of you might know i`m trying to get my ex-wife name of my bank account before i try for an iva, They basically have asked me to fill out a budget planner prior them taking her name off does this sound a bit iffy or is it a trick, What are the chances of them doing what they say because i dont believe they will.

thanks

What is budjet planner?

If it is income and expenditure. Why do they need it to take your ex-wife's off the account.

Semms odd.

ask them why they need it?

Hi Hara, its an income and expenditure form, they wont give me a reason just keep telling me to do it before they take her name off sounds strange to me because i`ve done everything they have asked, i just think there being stubbon because of the overdraft and i`ve explained to them thats is soley my responsibilty.

thanks

Ask to speak to a senior member.

Ask for legality of the requirement.

tell them that you are going to complain to Banking Ombudsman.

And tell them that they get some publicity, when you write to 'Daily Mail's money matters publishe on Wednesdays.

The income and expenditure request is to ensure that you are financially sound enought to take your wife's name off the account, and thus her liability for any loss you incure. Tread carefully, as they will not be happy if the day after they agree to this you declare that you are insolvent.

Hi
Yes I would tread very carefully as you will be offering another income and expenditure form when proposing your IVA and you don,t want them to be a million miles apart.

Hi all,

i have basically given them the same income & expenditure as on my iva proposal but with the creditors payments on there as well, they have spoken to me today to say they are taking the overdraft off and passing it to collections dept, also they will take my ex-wifes name off and i`ve asked them to send me a letter stating that my ex-wife is not liable for any repayments that is solely down to me.i should recieve my iva proposal tomorrow

Hi all

I`ve just found out that her name has been taken off the account, so does this mean they can`t pursue her now, still waiting for my proposal in the post
