Hi guys,

Just wanted a bit of reassurance really. Do you all go quite low in your bank accounts most months? The last month has been so tough for me. Toing to sit down and work out why but having a downer this week. Doesn't help that I am going away next week but sis lent me some money..[:(]

Every month is different here Kazza, this month although only 7 days in and I'm short, daughters 18th on Sunday and surprise party tomorrow and even though everyones chipped in, the bank has still taken a battering. I can't let her down totally and times like this is when I feel guilty x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Thanks guys. Think I'm doing it all ok really just having a tough time pain wise and everything gets magnified then! Just think, before I would have been out spending on the credit cards to cheer me up!

Still hoping I can persuade the appeal board to retire me on ill health in the next couple of months, then it will be full and final time!

Chin up Kazza-I think the turn in the weather may have something to do with the pain, I know mines gotten a lot worse the last couple of days (arthritis).
As for being short of money, well everything has shot up in the 12 months since we started the iva, hubby even had a pay rise but we have been informed we will either need a 15% reduction or even look at going back to the creditors - and that is on the first review!!!
Still, would have been a hell of a lot worse if we were not in the security of the iva, I know the banks and credit cards wouldnt have been to happy with payment breaks or reduced payments, so we have got something to be thankful for!!!
Good luck with the appeal board and I do hope the pain eases in the coming days, fingers crossed for you xxxx
full and final accepted January 2015

iva agreed; August 2010
iva would have completed; August 2017
extra year thank's to NRAM

Have a good birthday tomorrow, footiemad!!

Thanks Andrea - I know you are right re the pain. Every joint in my body hurts when I move it today. And I am really pleased I am in the IVA so no-one think I am ungrateful. Under the old me I would have been overdrawn by the 2nd of each month!! As OH just told me we did get the road tax this month in one hit. Got a card from the PO now to save monthly. It's all a new way of life - I like it most of the time!! lol

When in our IVA some months we would have a few pence left in the account on the day before pay day - I would always aim to have £10 left but it sometimes didn't happen - but to me that was a sign of a good I&E as you should not have lots of surplus left - however any savings you can make from your expenditure is yours to do what you want with it!

Any silver or pound coins I have left in my purse at the end of the week go in my terramundi jar which was a Christmas present last year. I'm looking forward to smashing it on Christmas Day this year to see how much I've managed to save!!

I've an order in for a new one for this Christmas!!

You'll have a nice little nest egg there Jan by the sound of it!

Remember we're meeting tonight so a nice little text around 7pm to say you're there would be good! nudge nudge wink wink. My daughters tomorrow. x

Happy Birthday footiemad for today. Sorry missed yours foggy, hope you had a good day.
