Hi, not posted anything for a while as life has been very busy with good things and bad things happening. First bad thing was that in October we were told my Dad could not receive any more treatment, then our income fell by £400 per month and we were unable to pay our IVA. Good thing we were given a 3 month payment break to sort things out. Bad thing in November we were told my Dad would have weeks/months to live. Good thing after seven years of being self employed I applied for a job and got the job. Everything was settling down and life returning to normal a bit but then Dad started to deteriorate. We spent most of December travelling to Hull to see him whilst trying to sort Christmas out. Unfotunately Dad died on 23 December but did not suffer long and was not in pain at all. We kept Christmas the same for the children and although Dad was not with us we felt he had been a big part of the arrangements.
Life throws many things to be dealt with. Although it has been a good year and a bad year I have learnt a lot and am greatful to the people a round me. I have a great job, a wonderful family, great friends and a new year to begin.

Hi Frost. Sorry to hear about the loss of your dad. as you say, mercifully, he did not suffer long. Hopefully, with the new job, 2012 will bring more good than bad.

Frost you deserve for 2012 to be a good year and I am sorry to read of your loss but so glad he didn't suffer. To keep things as normal as for the children was a great idea but do find time to grieve for yourself. My thoughts are with you xx
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Sorry to hear that frost but I'm glad he didn't suffer for too long.

You are very brave to keep things normal for your children and I hope 2012 brings you some good luck.

I am so sorry to hear about your Dad Frost, and to come so close to christmas aswell makes this doubly difficult to deal with, well done for trying to keep things as special as you could for your family, I wish you all the best for 2012
