Congrats from us as well.

Our daughter presented us with a grandchild at the end of March.

Thankfully they are staying at other grandparents this weekend!!!

Jacob is my third grandson( eldest daughter has two boys 8 & 2) but still got the same buzz. And cheers to all who have commented on the choice of name, was a bit worried at what it was going to be. Some of the more modern names can be a bit "out there" no disrespect to Harper Seven[:)]

Some names are totally stupid!! My wife once worked with someone who wanted to call his first born Christian if it was a boy - no problem other than that his surname was Priest!!

Thankfully it was a girl!!

Our grandaughter is named after both grandmothers. I already have four grandkids as well and no choice with the names. Only one of them is a bit naff!!

Christian Priest!? yes i think it was probably best that they had a girl. Dont want to appear to fuddy-duddy or condescnding but i think it.s the so called celebs trying to outdo each other that kicked off the "name game"

It certainly was for the best!! They called her Sinead - at least she wouldn't have the mickey taken out of her at school!!

Eldest grandchild is called Chantelle which is now shortened to Shont (that's how it is pronounced)!! We both totally hate both the name and the shortened version - very chavy!!

I don't know ... when my eldest was born, back in '76 I had a chat with the registrar about "uncommon" names ... and, just a few days before my visit, some poor sprog was lumbered with "Iron Horse" .... imagine !!!!
