Yes you are right about double checking bargains, I was in Morrisons yesterday looking at nampolina tinned tomatoes, they were on offer down from £1.23 a CAN to 59p, I mean who in their right mind would ever have paid £1.23 for a can of tomatoes?????

Still, I buy mine from home bargains at 29p a can

I always look at the price per 100g to check whether I'm getting a bargain as my mental arithmatic isn't up to the job most times. Also, I buy meat monthly and stock up on multi-buys for the freezer and then get veg and yoghurts etc weekly.
