You are right of course Melanie. And as I said, it really does go against my character. I think I will take a leaf out of Debbies book and probably not answer the phone in future[;)]

It is really good to have sleep again[;)] Although I suspect I will have even better sleep if we get accepted on an IVA. While I am here may I ask another question? I am not generally a rude person, in fact, I despise rudeness and always try to be polite to everyone, BUT, I am starting to find that ...

Thanks Debbie..After speaking to people on here last night I think it was the first night in ages I had a good sleep. I have to say though I just had Barclays Bank on the phone, pestering as usual. I told her that we are speaking to someone tomorrow about an IVA, and she said that I need to go to th...

Well even though we are only at the very begining of the IVA process we have gone for Melanie Giles, or rather someone who works with/for her, too. We picked her firm because of the help and advice she gives on this forum. I am glad we found out about her before we chose anyone else[;)]

Hi, I was just speaking to my hubby about pay parades as he has just left the army after 23 years. He was saying that trainees still did pay parade when he was a Instructor at a training camp..but this was 9 years ago..so it may have changed. God I remember doing pay parades when I was in the WRAC a...

To be honest Lulu the situation with our business is not helping our financial problems. The shop has gone really quiet in the last few months, which of course means that I am struggling to take a wage from it which means that we have got in arrears with unsecured loans and credit cards The shop its...

I totally agree Melanie. I would just die without my pets. I guess if we did have to move out of here the good thing is that as this is rural North Yorkshire, there are a few places out there willing to take tenants with pets...I am just not sure if they would be willing to take our large menagerie ...

Thank you so much for advice Melanie and Lulu. I will let you know how things are after the chat with the IP on Wednesday. I just hope we get accepted for an IVA, I really would hate for us to go down the Bankruptcy route.[:(]

Thanks for the advice Melanie. Yes I think you are right, the rental is roughly about £800 or less sometimes for somewhere really decent..and hopefully somewhere that would take let us bring our pets[;)]. I think I will probably be in a less panicicky state once we have spoken to the IP.

Hi again We have around about £43K of unsecured debt. I was just chatting with my husband about the housing prices around here and actually even though houses the same as ours are up for sale at £165000, they are just not selling. So I fear that they probably will come down in the near future. But w...
