My bank didn't seem to notice --- the almost empty account is sitting there, waiting my return. Mind you, I haven't dared go into the branch as they know me by sight !!!!

If you have any online banking then go on there and put duff phone numbers down. Otherwise, you will get phone calls and they will try and bully you into paying. Don't let them get to you!!!! You can either tell them to get lost, change your number, refuse to answer security questions or tell them that you are going for an IVA.

The call centres are bullies and you can send any letters onto your IP.

It should do.

Don't let them bully you if they do phone up - they haven't a clue about IVA's and are just out to make up their wages from commission (they'll be on a basic wage)

It is a scary time - you've got a good company behind you.

Best thing is to keep yourself busy. Get a box file, or somesuch, for all the paperwork to be kept in one place. And, I found it useful to use a small diary for keeping track of the finances, with a list of all payments due out, so I could tick them off as they went, that way I knew each day what was and what will be in the bank. First time I have ever used one of those free union diaries !!! Actually, come to think of it ... first time I have used ANY diary out of work !

We already had a filing cabinet for stuff and still do.

Finances are done online via the bank so I know exactly what is going out and when.

A lot of people use a spreadsheet - I can't get hold of them, never have done!!

No I can't use spreadsheets and I have online banking -- I just like to see things down on paper (the dinosaur in me!).
