Extremely sad beyond words. No-one ever lives life accepting suicide is an answer so just believe that for someone to actually go through with it find themselves in the most darkest place of all. To be at a point where the absolute only answer to them is to end everything is so tragic - for them to have given up on life but for everyone hurting who is left behind in utter shock and confusion.

My heart goes out to everyone affected by Gary's death - I have counselled suicidal people and it really is for them a battle beyond words. I know some out there have at times felt inclined to consider this route but thankfully reached out and got help to turn things around. There is always help it is just so hard to know where to get it and how to ask for it. Sadly Gary couldn't have felt able to.

Take care everyone and be mindful how precious life is.

Tina - lovely words. None of us know why he has chosen to take his own life, and none of us need to know....the best thing that can happen now is his family are left to grieve and to come to terms with the sad situation - it is all the more difficult to do so as we approach Christmas, and my thoughts and prayers are with his wife and children.

I'm watching sgorio and the tributes are heart wrenching. I hope these will bring some comfort to his family, if not now, in the future. X

Not sure if the above link works, but Kelly Jones has done a tribute to Gary Speed with "Can't take my eyes off you". This song was and is associated with Welsh football, the era Speedo gave to us!

xx

A colleague at my work lost his nephew (21) to suicide last Saturday....had an hour with him yesterday as he needed to talk but feel I let him down a bit as I ended up getting emotional.

My thoughts are with everyone that are in a dark place that I hope never to be in. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
