I made mine when I got married, I made sure I did an extra one to keep which I still have and look at occasionally, brings back really good times...
If life is what you make it, I must have been in a strange mood when I made mine

I'm going to do that as well Pandy. In fact Dave has said that if he doesn't get an invite he's not coming!

All the invitations and place cards are made and I'm planning on making the menu cards today. Next will be the table plan (when I can afford the card to make it!) but I'm struggling with the table numbers!

We're not having a top table so we've been advised not to have table numbers as people may take them as being seated in an order of preference - I can imagine both our mums doing that! The only problem is I've no idea what to call the tables, so any ideas welcome! At the moment we're thinking of places in Florida as we're going for our honeymoon, but we're open to suggestions!

How about flowers for names?
Just avoid Poison Ivy [:D]
If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else’s, we’d grab ours back.

Believe me there's a few people I could put on a table called Poison Ivy!

Some thoughts for Skippy -

Relatives that are no longer here? with the exception of poison Ivy who may be there!

Famous couples

Places you holidayed at

Places in New York e.g. Trump Tower, Empire State, Central Park – I like this one

Precious jewels, eg. Diamond, etc

Seasons

Football players?

Restaurants/chefs

Cars

A word in different languages, e.g. love, amour etc

Depends on how many tables you are having, but you need a theme that can't be "ranked" .... like flowers, or how about star signs ? Birds ? colours ? Or something they won't be able to rank at all, like heraldic devices: Amulet, Chevron, Martlett, Roundel, Bezant, Crescent, etc.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

Thanks for that Foggy, you've got some good ideas there! I think something they won't be able to rank is a good idea - I never believed in wedding politics until we decided to get married!

Sorry Oscar, I missed your post! Thanks for all the good ideas!

We've got a Hobbycraft in town now and we went there today to have a look and ended up buying a frame to make the seating plan - £6.49. If I'd had one made on Ebay it would have been over £30!

How exciting all this planning, I remember doing this for daughters wedding and enjoying every minute of it. Like to think she's not the only one going to get married and the others might partake in due course. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
