We had our mortgage statement today, starting to drop a bit now.
if i can steel myself once our iva is completed, i would like to use the money to overpay, which means i could finish my mortgage 3 years earlier, then i plan to use the avc's on my pension to pay off anything that may be left.
then its cheerio work, a bench in the park, and that will do nicely.

I wish you all the best Olympic. Quite fancy a bench in the park myself!

Great plan OT.

I intend to spend this spring and summer in the garden enjoying my early retirement instead of racing to cut the lawn on a saturday so I can rest on a sunday before work.

I am hoping to make overpayments to the mortgage soon,as its sitting on 2.5%(TSB SVR),fortunately we didnt take as big a mortgage as TSB offered us so the mortgage isnt massive anyway, but still has just under 20 years to run.

I have seen a nice bench but its on top of a local hill and the view is fantastic, hopefully by the time I retire I will still be able to walk the rocky path up there.

Paul
Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.
Continuing to rebuild our credit worthiness.

I want to reduce my hours at work but not stop completely (or I'd be lazier than I am now!).

All the best OT with your plans hope they come to fruition. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Hubby has had one for a while as he was in receipt of disability benefit - not heard him say if he could use it before 9.30 - not that he's usually out before then other than walking the dogs!!

Hubby uses his to go and collect his pension from the Post Office and do some shopping in the village at the same time. I think he quite enjoys using it!!!

Yeah - I think it's usual to not be able to use until 9.30 - to let all the workers get to work 1st!!
