I had one nightmare day yesterday ... my PC died due to me looking at a new flavour of Linux ... my PC was a dual boot system. After looking at the new Linux and deciding I didn't like it I tried to remove it ... and lost everything .. the partitions became corrupted and when I rebooted I couldn't get past a basic GRUB system prompt ... which even the 'experts' couldn't tell me how ro get past ... so I thought ... no problem I'll reinstall windows from scratch .. after all I have full data back ups. Yeah right ... still had the same silly grup prompt and a blank screen .. anyhoo after 5 hours I finally got back to my original Windows/linux dual boot system at the expense of all my data and pictures (over 200). No problem, I'll just reload the data from my backups ... guess what? ... corrupted data discs ... well not exactly corrupted ... cracked right down the midle ... seems MIL had stepped on it but said nowt in case I got angry. So all my friends email addresses have gone ... my home accounts on which I rely cos me memory is crap ... and important emails I needed to keep copies of. Not having a printer I couldn't print them out. Then the cherry on the cake ... my budgie died last night at 9.00pm!

Somebody up there doesn't like me!

Whinge over!

Sorry Ray, I've had to remove your email address - you're not allowed to put it on the forum.

I can suggest some forum friends on Facebook for you if you like?

Sorry you've lost all your stuff.

I'm sure you would have - some of them might have been spam though!

Do you want me to send you any friend requests on FB?

No thanks Jan ... I don't use FB much, one of my so called 'friend' posted that he thought I was a TW*T which sort of put me off. You never really know people do you!
