My friend said not to worry about a Golf - once it's been round the clock once it'll go round again according to him. Fingers crossed he's right Paul!

The rear brakes got cleaned out not long ago and the mechanic did say that if they start to squeal again its time for new pads and the discs would need replaced at the same time!!!

Paul
Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.
Continuing to rebuild our credit worthiness.

I trust the mechanic that does our cars but thats the golf hitting 100k miles and 12 years old,if it passes I will be amazed.

Paul
Put some miles on it man.[:D]
I look after a 1998 Vauxhall with over 200k on it.
replaced the engine yesderday only because the owner never top up the oil for 10 mouths and run it with no water.
IVA now over with and it was worth it.
now starting my life again,

I'm luck that I get my son in law to do most of mine, there is certain things he can't/won't touch but for the main he's cheap...well a roast beef dinner and any parts covers it x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

We have a local garage who we know won't rip us off and they are brilliant.

Same with the MOT - the place we use only does MOT's so we know that we're not going to be told to get something done that doesn't need doing.

My MOT isn't until August and am already having cold sweats about it! I'm convinced it'll cost me £500...I think everything to do with my car will cost £500 LOL. It's a magic figure that pops into my head with every squeal and rattle [:)]

Because I've been so luck so far with mine and it's getting old now I think one of these years it's all going to go wrong. I got it new and that was 9 years ago now. Getting attached to it now and wonder if I'll want to change it post IVA x

Yeah, the skip is 12 years old now and has a few, luckily non mot related gremlins, but seems to be going strong. I am afraid, post IVA, it will no longer be with us as we do need something with a little bit more boot room.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
