Hi all

Just as a little money saver for us people on tight budgets - if anyone lives in Lancashire and has a cold house and high fuel bills like us, at the moment you can get FREE cavity wall and loft insulation! Think it's Government/Council funded????

You don't need to have any benefits either at the moment unlike in the past when only certain benefits or age let you qualify.

if you Google "Home Insulation Services" .co.uk this is the company we are using. Obviously not had work done yet but heard good things about them through friends.

Couldn't believe it as we never qualify for anything free so thought I'd share in case any more of you lovely forum peoples are in Lancashire and could do with this insulation? [:)]

I wish they would do something for those of us with solid walls! There are options but they are extremely expensive so some help would be nice!

Skippy, Lesley, I often tell the cold call insulation companies who are 'working in our area' they're welcome to visit our house and if they find a cavity wall they can fill it with whatever they like [:0]
If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else’s, we’d grab ours back.

Funds paid to date accepted as F&F 16th August 2013, the wait for completion begins.
Wait over....certificate recieved 3rd May 2014

We live in a second floor flat --- if we have cavity insulation the two below us would get theirs free !!!!!
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
