I have paid my last payment in August into a 7 year IVA, I am still waiting for my completion certificate and they have told me it can take 6 months. Is this right. I have done all the PPI forms years ago and completed our yearly review and tried for re-mortgage and secured loan so I'm confused as to why it should take this long. They are just saying that we can see your account is all up to date and all obligations have been met. Any clues?

It usually takes around three months, but the IVA terms allow for six. Some firms have managed it in weeks! At the end of the day it boils down to company procedures -- some are more laxadaisicle than others.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Keep the pressure on them to close but be prepared to wait the full 6 moths plus 3 more to come off the register...
