Worked out last night how old i will be when my IVA finishes assuming i get it. Depressed or what ? Anyway, i text a good friend to tell her and I needed to tell someone cos i wasnt feeling too good about my mess. Wish I hadnt.......all she said was that I wasnt the only one and thats its a fact of life !!
How supportive is that ??
Anyway, the point im getting to is thank goodness for this forum, people who understand and dont judge
Thank you

Quite agree which is why I don't tell anyone.

To make you possibly feel better - I will be 60/61 by the time mine finishes and hubby will be 67!

My daughter, her husband and my stepkids know and that's all. People at work certainly wouldn't understand and I don't have any really close friends other than those I've made on the forum and they already know!!

I'll be 36/37..not sure if thats a good thing or bad thing really...good in that i'm still young (ish) or bad thinking that I've had to do an IVA at such a young age?! :-S

I tihnk whatever age you'll all be you'll definitely feel a younger spring in your step once its all over!

Shame you didn't get more of a supportive response from your friend Ditzy - but it could have been worse too - I guess she might have been trying to normalise it but it would have been nice for her to realise what upset and worry you are going through. I have known of some people having really horrible judgemental response from friends and relatives - that is always upsetting to hear as its just so unfair. Money messes are just that, money messes - nothing to do with someone's personality, values or worth as a person. Judgement and insensitivity are far bigger weaknesses in a person than getting the finances in a muddle.

thats my weekly soapbox moment out of the way!
