Happy birthday Lem and also for you kazza.

We had some fireworks earlier but they were far enough away that they didn't bother my three.

My cat either hides behind the microwave or wedges herself in beside the boiler when the fireworks start x

This year the lab is acting a little strange and he's in the lounge with us which is strange, the other one is bomb proof so he's fine, not saying he's turned nervous but something is bothering him this week. x

I'm fed up with the fireworks tonight. I do wish the powers that be would do something useful like banning fireworks from general sale!

Happy Birthday Kazza[;)]. Belated Birthday wishes for Lem and Bluesky[;)][;)]. I hate seeing kids in the street setting the bangers off. I think they are boring and pointless. Not to mention dangerous and nothing seems to stop the kids. The damages they can do! I have 3 cats and want to keep them in tonight. Have a kitten 7month old and although the odd banger doesnt seem to bother her i think she may be different. I have heard nasty stories of kids thinking its funny to get hold of cats on bonfire night. I live literally off the back of an overgrown graveyard and the cats go in there, so if they do get out, they will b able to hide. Still rather they stay in with me. Theres an organised disply along the road and now the kids are older we can just watch from the window in the sky. Thats where they end up.

I'm having trouble tonight, there is a firework display which is fine but I've moved on 3 teenagers from sitting outside my house with music playing on their phone and now an old BMW is out there with the bass on so high it's almost vibrating my house so I've been to tell them too. Who'd have guessed I had a husband??? This morning Granddaughter put on Justin Beiber DVD with surround sound and woke me up, not a good day for noise for me!

We were invited to daughters - she lives opposite a rugby club and the girls are going to watch the display from the safety of the bedroom window.

We declined the offer - it was bad enough when i had to take the girls to displays. Really don't enjoy fireworks at all. There's an organised display down on the seafront and apparently the roads are gridlocked.

I don't get it myself!

I hate them with a passion - we have to put the music channels on really loud to try and drown out the sound so the dogs aren't too bad. Poor Topsy is a quivering wreck at the moment, more than the others.

It's gone quiet now, daughter did go out for an 18th birthday celebration to town they've been to Prezzo's for a meal but she's on her way home, she's not into rowdy stuff and she says they're all half drunk now and would rather be home....sensible girl for now! x

Hope your cats remain safe and calm Dawn. x

It's been like Beirut here but does seem to have quietened down at the moment.

I'm having to listen to very loud cheesy 90's music at the moment to drown the fireworks out!!!
