This year it has been very quiet, only a few days left until bonfire night,is this normal throughout the country. It seems that the lack of money is cascading down to the pre bonfire night nuisance.

Think it's the monsoon like rain that's doing it here! We normally see some before the 5th (not many being remote). Hope it's dry sat night as it's my birthday and I do like the way everyone celebrates my day with fireworks and bonfires!!![:D][:D]

Happy birthday for Saturday Kazza!

I'm sorry to say I hope it tips it down with rain every evening for the next few weeks so the idiots with fireworks are less likely to let them off!

I don't mind them in an organised display, not tht I'd go to one but used to when the children were little. Happy birthday for Saturday from me too Kazza x

I agree Lesley - organised displays (on 5th November only) are fine, it's the months of fireworks either side that I don't like! I feel sorry for the animals who are terrified by them.

I totally agree with you. Displays only. Before we moved to Cornwall we had them from halloween right through until New Year. My poor cat was a state by then.

Harry isn't too bad thankfully but he doesn't like the 'crackling' fireworks. We're going out on Saturday night so we'll leave music on quiet for him.

We normally have lots of fireworks going off by now, not heard one so far this year.
Think the price of them now is putting a lot of kids of, the kids round by us normally have firework fights so I am quite glad they are not around this year so much as we often saw rockets shooting down the road between 2 gangs of kigs. Scary for any normal passerby.
If life is what you make it, I must have been in a strange mood when I made mine

I hate fireworks with a passion! Organised displays are fine but that's all it should be. My dogs be one quivering wrecks and we can't do anything with them. I am dreading Saturday.

Are they all the same Jan? as I wonder why if they are...why all of them? I used to have one dog a Lhasa a few years ago that didn't like them but not had any other dogs like it?

All three are the same, they just become a bag of nerves if they hear any fireworks. Strangely enough they're fine with thunder
