morning guys hope youre well.

i know this seems silly but i feel ashamed of myself-last few months moaning about stuff that seems trivial. i look at my sister whos recieving cancer treatment and shes always so positive and goes to work without complaint even though she gets really tired because of the treatment shes having. i think ive got it tough but theres someone out there whos worse off i need to remember that more often xx

Good morning FD. People deal with different things in different ways, and are also affected in different ways. Everyone needs to do whatever works best for them. Your sister's positive outlook is wonderful and is, no doubt, aiding her recovery. That said moaning (if that's how you see it) is also helpful ---- it externalises the pressures and worries. "Better out than in" doesn't only apply to tummy bugs ! :0)
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

I wouldn't beat yourself up about it FD. If you could see the state my mum is in just because their internet isn't working you'd realise that sometimes it is just one small thing that sends you off the deep end. I have found that people suffering serious illnesses seem to do very well with coping. But remember the problems you have faced were very important to you. I always feel guilty for moaning about my health but I know that my family and friends understand and put up with me!!!
Doesn't help with winter approaching, but my mantra this year is hurry up winter, then spring will be just round the corner.
Try and keep smiling chuck.xx

I often feel sorry for myself and although i realise there are people a hell of a lot worse off than me, for that moment my feeling sorry for myself actually makes me feel a little better. xx

fd you are such a support to many people on this forum including me. Not often but once in a blue moon I throw my toys out the pram, I did it the other week because my computer was not working, we're all allowed off days. I'm thinking about your sister. I saw my dad yesterday he's a young 64, he has cancer but he usually looks in good health appearance wise. I thought he looked almost ashen in colour yesterday so I'm really worrying about him also and it's approaching the anniversary of when we lost mam aged 58. So yesterday I was on a bit of a downer thinking of what if?? but today I am smiling because things could always be worse and I know I'm so lucky in many ways. hugs
