I received some money off vouchers for Farm Foods this week and I have never used them so was wondering if anyone on here had tried their stuff - in particular the diced casserole beef x[?]

Hi,

Must admit that we only use them for things like Chinese Curry sauce or ready meals.

Meat we get from the butcher so can't help you there.

Its a bit pot luck I am afraid,we have had frozen chicken breasts before and while one pack was great the other one while the same weight was nowhere near as good quality wise.

The same can be said for there meals, some are nice others not.

Worth a go though as you do get more for your money.

Like Jan I prefer the butchers for meat. Not as dear as you would think.

The branded stuff is greast quality and some real bargains too! I get all my quorn stuff from there as its much cheaper than asda/tescos etc. They do birdseye, youngs fish etc. There own lable stuff, as talked about before, is a little hit an miss! But you have to ry these things!!

I've only ever bought WW ready meals (for emergencies only!) in there as most of their own brand stuff didn't look very appetising.

I agree with PD, the butchers can be cheaper than you think so it's worth checking out.

Much better quality meat as well!! Must admit I look at the adverts for either Iceland or Farmfoods - I forget which, at the moment and the fact that you can get a great quantity for not a lot of money is great if you really are strapped for cash but I don't think the quality would be good and I wonder where they farm the animals from!!

Thats probably what I was expecting to hear. Think I'll have a look and see if there are any branded products which I normally buy and stick to that. Thanks for your help x

I prefer meat from my local farm shop as I know where it comes from otherwise I would rather go without!
