A small rant, but its took me years to finally own my own car, lock stock and exhaust! but it seems since ive paid off my car just because its a little older than most on my street its constantly being vandalised.

About 3 months ago someone ripped the windscreen wipers off, 6 months before that someone put a dent in the bonnet, just a small one. But this morning went out to the car and theres a footprint on the bonnet and again a bigger dent. So annoyed my little car is getting beaten up.

Certainly makes me think twice about replacing the car after my iva next year.

What frustrates me most is i live in a 4th floor flat, the one night the car is outside and in view and this happens, in the past when i have to park half a mile away nothing. Ive calmed a bit now, it doesn't look good for when i want to trade in the car for a newer one next year.

Glad you've calmed down a bit but can totally understand your frustration and annoyance.

Mindless vandals nothing worse! I was awoken a few weeks back and knew someone was touching hubby's van. What were they doing planking on it....hilarious for them but not when hubby gave them a few choise words they learnt how to jump off a transit pretty sharpish!

Sorry to hear about your car antm, it's not nice, I have roadside parking and would never buy another new car (like I can afford it). x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Sorry to hear about the damage to your car. Just wondered if you have reported the damages to the police? I am a Neighbourhood Watch Co ordinator and in the early days of setting the scheme up I received lots of calls from local residents about minor damage to cars, walls etc. All of these were reported to the Police Officer in charge of the neighbourhood watch scheme. The local PCSO's patrolled the area on a more regular basis for a while, even catching some of the people causing damage and now we have very few problems.

I get so frustrated when I hear things like this - why can't people respect other people's belongings ! We all work hard for what we have and to have it vandalised on a regular basis must be heartbreaking - really feel for you !
