Anyway, I've penned a complaint as I got the feeling I was being fleeced.
If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else’s, we’d grab ours back.

personally i think it was harmless and we are all adults . This site specifically never gets nasty and i think freezing it was WELL over the top. What do i know though,,I just hate the thought of anything that's mildley interesting/causes debate being censored. I thought this site was better than that..

I understand Andy's stance , but being a moderator on a far less tolerant site forum i think it was un-needed.. Just my view.. you can all shoot me down if you want but i jsut think people should be able to express themselves along with the normal standard debt posts.

Unfortunately things do have a habit of getting out of hand, although not often, and people do get offended. It was only locked to make sure this didn't happen.

Hi
We will all have different views on what is suitable and what is not.
Again from experience I have seen these sort of posts get out of hand and that is why it was locked.
Any debate is welcome on the forum as long as it follows the ethos of the forum, respect for all. This includes respecting my ultimate decision to bring a thread to an end even if you do no agree with it.
Regards
Andam Davies

Juat caught up with this one again - I totally agree with Andy's comments.

We do sometimes experience problems and we have to respect the fact that some people can get upset. This is why threads are locked and Andy has the ultimate say on this.

Fair enough, I respect Andy and his decision to end it. Just felt a bit nanny state to me, but there you go. I'll say no more, i think the thread has achieved its aim :)
