Oh well looks as if my christmas shopping has just come to a halt. After my shopping spree (£12.99), I turned on the engine and it said STOP and the oil light was flashing and according to the dial I had zero oil in the car. Checked the dip stick, twice and I did have oil - then noticed that the air con, fan, heater and horn were all on the blink so I diagnosed an electrical fault and drove home. Car now booked in for work next Wednesday together with the annual service. Happy days x[:(]

Not good footie. Hope it's nothing too expensive.

Have you got a manual for the car? Are all those circuits protected by the same fuse ?

What car have you got Footiemad?

I have (don't laugh) a Skoda and when the front washer failed to work a while back I checked it's fuse, which was OK. Then went on the Skoda forum and found out it was an unrelated fuse that blew, changed that and Hey Presto! (doubled the value of the car!).

There's nothing wrong with Skoda Foggy - we have one and it's a brilliant car!!

Mine's getting it's new side put on this week! I told the garage that, when they finish the repair, they will have to rough it up a little to match the rest of the car!

It's still not back 100% at the moment - hopefully won't go down totally again.

Hmm -- tried to do a littl eresearch. Seems those circuits don't have a common fuse, so it wouldn't be that anyway :0(

Heater is a common fail on the 307 and the STOP is probably the sensor, or a common electrical problem, maybe the earthing.

Sorry, I couldn't find anything helpful .... let's hope it's a cheap fix.

Thanks for looking into it Foggy - much appreciated. I have booked it into garage for coming Wednesday and the chap who owns the garage is a good friend so I know he will do his best for me and not rip me off (even though he doesn't know anything about the IVA).x
