I don't think it matters much these days to be honest. Who knows how they work out the premiums? It always used to be that if you didn't make a claim then your premium went down.

I get so annoyed at being penalised for the bad drivers and the injuries claimants out there. It's not our fault!!!

Rant over!!

I've still got two claims that I have to declare, one for me and one for Dave and both were faul claims so that probably pushes the premium up!

If drivers are at fault then I have no problem with the premiums going up, if you're not at fault or if you have made no claims at all then I don't see why you should be penalised.

Nothing to do with cars but we have made three claims in 2 years with the contents insurance for the house and our premium has gone up considerably. No problem at all with that as I have claimed.

I don't have a problem with the premium going up as the accidents were out fault, but I do have a problem with them going up due to a non fault claim. This happened to me years ago and I presume it's still going on.

I wouldn't mind the premiums so much if you actually got anything worthwhile if you claim - I wrote my car off (not entirely my fault) and they paid out a lot less than I'd paid for the car, even though I hadn't had it long.

Isn't that always the way? I don't mind if it's my fault but I think it should be a 'no blame' rather than 'no claim'. If it's not your fault then they can claim the money back so you shouldn't have to suffer.

Unfortunately the driver I hit was drunk and an illegal immigrant so had no insurance! If he had I would have argued that it wasn't completely my fault (he had no brake lights) but there wasn't any point.

When the police phoned to tell me he'd been deported they said he'd probably be back by the end of the week! He's probably back legally now as well as the country is now part of Europe!
