Anyone selling a telescope?

Bit of a random question but my boyfriend wants a telescope for Xmas and obv I cannot afford a brand new one that will live up to his expectations so have asked his famiy and my family to contribute what they would have spent on a present to go towards it!

As a beginner the forums I have been on have suggested to spend at least £250 on a brand new one. This is obv way out of my price range so I am looking for a second hand one.

Just asking you peeps on here if you have one lying around that are willing to sell?

I have been advised it needs to be at least an 8 inch Dobsonian telescope (means nothing to me) But if you have one or know of someone that has one for sell please let me know!

Great idea to ask, did I see Julie had one she was going to put on ebay, mind don't quote me on that as my memory is useless, maybe ebay have some??

Have tried Ebay but the one that has been recommended to me that I found on there is still asking for more than Brand New! (obv after a quick buck)

I thought I would post on here just incase it triggers someones memory! They may have one collecting dust in the loft and could give them a bit extra for Xmas!

Toys 'R Us do a great Astronomical Scope for around £100 ... might be worth alook
