Just wanted to share with you all how my life seems to have turned around completely in the last few weeks and i finally feel like i'm in control and i'm loving every second [:D]
I feel like the last few years have been a nightmare, riddled with debt, no money to do anything and ashamed to admit that my son had been neglected somewhat in terms of what we could afford to do with him
Now within the space of a few weeks I've sold my house (touch wood), been accepted into an IVA and those 2 things alone have completely changed my outlook on life! We've gone from literally having £20 to last us a week to being able to wake up on a sunday morning and go the seaside!! Just to see my son smile all day is worth every second!
I'm feeling so positive about the future now and I know that making that initial decision to do an IVA has been one of the best decisions I've ever made!
So...just wanted to share my positiveness with you all, thank all those on here for their support and for those who are contemplating an IVA or waiting for their creditors meeting then I just want to say that hopefully you'll feel the same in a few weeks! PMA has actually worked...at last!! [;)] x

It's a great feeling Vimto isn't it? I remember feeling exactly the same at the beginning, don't want to rain on your parade though but we're finding it quite tough at the moment 1 year in!

Great post - well done ! The IVA journey can be different for everyone, but one thing we all do have in common is that the end result is a great feeling ! Have a great day at the seaside with your family and enjoy!

Well done Vimto, so nice to read positive post about IVA's.

I know ours was the best thing we ever did it gave us our life back again, although we are reaching the 2 year point next month we are at that lull stage where you so far off finishing you cant really focus on that and it is so far from the start you have lost the wonder of it. So it becomes a bit of a slog but we will get through it.
If life is what you make it, I must have been in a strange mood when I made mine

It is nice to see a positive post, I've entered my final year, some years especially the earlier ones were my worst but whatever happens with support from the forum and a good IP you'll get there as will we all. x

I know the feeling Vimto. I almost feel guilty having money to spend. Can't believe it when I go to the cashpoint and there is no OD after the amount. It's a better feeling than splashing it on the plastic [:)]
Have no regrets, the future is ours!

I never had money pre-IVA, every penny paid to creditors. Now I have all the allowances and live again.

I know we couldn't believe that we had a bit of pocket money each every month in the IVA. Not much but enough for us to live happily!

I hope the house sale goes through ok for you!

I used to have a £10K OD for as long as I can remember and it did take time to get used to being in credit all the time. Great feeling although not a bed of roses. Still think that the IVA is the best way forward, a second chance to get it right. Lovely to hear that you are upbeat Vimto and long may it continue x
