This is a strange clause that expects you to attempt to remortgage again, even if, as Melanie says, there will still be no chance of getting one. I’ve had a 12 month extension in lieu of equity release due to not be able to remortgage. The Chairman’s Report for the variation meeting says that all my creditors agreed to not enforce the modification requiring equity release and that they accept an additional12 months contributions in lieu of it.
I feel for OT as it is the uncertainty that it unsettling – I hope the meeting disregards the Supervisor’s comment, (I don’t know if they can), and that you will then have a clear goal and finishing line. Good luck for 13 July – I hope you’re not superstitious. My IVA was agreed on 13 June 2007 so it didn’t do me any harm!
